Aging Strong: Is it Aging or is it Medicine? (Online)

Join Debbie Lyn Toomey, RN, coordinator of the Tufts Medical Center’s Injury Prevention Program, for this engaging and valuable program live online and continuing on the second and fourth Tuesdays. In this session Donna Bartlett, will discuss the impact of taking many medications in older adults and share practical ways for the participants to talk to their doctors about re-examining the need of their long term medications.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend any of all of the sessions in this multi-part program that teaches and empowers aging adults and those who care for them with skills and ideas that decrease falls and increase independence. This evidence-informed program will discuss practical and proven exercises that promote a health and well-being. Each 60-minute session will build upon the previous one(s) to deepen your aging strong experience, but you can attend any or all, depending upon your availability. They will be recorded for later viewing and sharing and made available on the library's YouTube channel.
