Join us for our 2nd annual Banned Book Week Read-In! We invite everyone to gather at the library and indulge in the joy of unrestricted reading. Bring your favorite book & a chair or blanket, explore new literary worlds, and revel in the freedom to read whatever you choose. Join us as we champion the fundamental right to access and enjoy diverse literature. 

Established in 1982, Banned Books Week brings together the entire book community in shared support of the freedom to read. The theme for Banned Books Week 2024 (September 22-28) is "Freed Between the Lines." In a time of intense political polarization, library staff in every state are facing an unprecedented number of attempts to ban books. ALA's Office for Intellectual Freedom documented 1,247 demands to censor library books and resources in 2023.

This is an all ages program so all are welcome! We will have books, crafts, take home activities, and more!
