Sunday, November 123:00—4:00 PMRichardson BuildingRichardson Building40 Washington Street, Quincy, MA, 02169

Join us for a Sunday afternoon concert in the beautiful historic Richardson Building featuring classical vocalist Marcus Johnson.

Marcus Johnson is a baritone classical vocalist, pianist and organist. He graduated from University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor's Degree of digital media and music at Dartmouth, Ma. He studied voice under the tutelage of doctors Tianxu Xhou and Maryte Bizinkauskas and studied organ privately with Richard Bunbury, AGO Boston Chapter. Marcus Johnson is the House Cantor and Soloist of the First Congregational Church of Fall River. He is also heard on Lunchtime Recitals as Baritone Soloist. Recently, he performed the baritone arias in Handel’s Messiah and the section leader under the direction of Judy Conrad, Music Director and organist. He has been invited multiple times to the Massachusetts Music Educators Eastern District and All-State choirs as well as participating in collegiate choirs for the performances of Handel’s Messiah and Mozart’s Requiem and sings baritone and soloist with Quincy Choral Society. Recently he was honored to audition for the Tanglewood Festival Chorus.

The Richardson Building seats a maximum of 100 and on some occasions we do have to turn people away when that capacity is reached. We recommend planning ahead and leaving time for parking, which can be tricky in Quincy Center. On Sundays, if the Library parking lot is full, there is overflow parking available in front of the Coddington Building, across the street from the Library on Coddington Street. Doors open 15 minutes before the start of the performance.  If you'd prefer to watch from home, the event will also be LIVESTREAMED to our YouTube channel and recorded and aired at a later date on QATV.

Generously sponsored by the Friends of the Thomas Crane Public Library.
