Roman Rudnytsky is an American concert pianist of Ukrainian background who has been performing around the world for years. A graduate of The Juilliard School in New York, he has performed in 100 countries. He has been soloist with many orchestras, played in 50 countries through US Embassies as a cultural ambassador, and played recitals on 70 cruises of P&O (UK) and Cunard ships.

He was a prizewinner in ten international and national piano competitions. In addition to his concert travels, Roman Rudnytsky was a university professor of piano and music, mostly at Youngstown (Ohio) State University---Dana School of Music, where, upon retirement, he was awarded the title “Professor Emeritus”.

During the early part of 2023, he performed a number of recitals in the USA and also on the islands of Guam and Saipan. Subsequently, he made his 14th tour in New Zealand (twelve recitals), seventh tour in Alaska (five recitals), and 23rd tour in Australia (thirteen recitals), plus recitals on two cruises of Cunard's ship Queen Mary 2.

2024 will see recitals in various parts of the USA again, on Guam and Saipan, New Zealand, Britain, Chile (11th tour), and on five cruises.

The Richardson Building seats a maximum of 100 and on some occasions we do have to turn people away when that capacity is reached. We recommend planning ahead and leaving time for parking, which can be tricky in Quincy Center. On Sundays, if the Library parking lot is full, there is overflow parking available in front of the Coddington Building, across the street from the Library on Coddington Street. Doors open 15 minutes before the start of the performance.  If you'd prefer to watch from home, the event will also be LIVESTREAMED to our YouTube channel and recorded and aired at a later date on QATV.

Generously sponsored by the Friends of the Thomas Crane Public Library.
