Wednesday, November 203:00—4:00 PMNQ Community Meeting RoomNorth Quincy Library381 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA, 02171

ExPLORE (Experiment, Play, Learn, Observe, Read, Examine) is a series of monthly hands-on science workshops for children ages 8-12, covering a wide variety of topics.

Meeting at the North Quincy Branch Library on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 3-4 pm each workshop has a short portion of instruction and then exploration and experimentation. Topics range from forensic science to bubbles and parents/caregivers are welcome to participate as well alongside their children.

Join us at the North Quincy Library on Wednesday, November 20th at 3:00 pm for Paper Airplanes.

Simple paper airplanes are easy to fold and easy to fly, but what about more complex designs? Does bigger equal better? What about the material you use? Join us to learn about why paper airplanes fly and how we can alter them to make them do tricks like loops and curves. We’ll try using different types of paper and adding different folds to the wings. Can you make the extra difficult patterns we’ll have? Can you design your own?
