Science Cafe - Materials and Medicine w/MIT Professor and Inventor Robert Langer (Online)

Tuesday, May 287:30—8:30 PMOnline

LNPs. Lipid nanoparticles. Heard of them ? They are the reason the Moderna and Pfizer COVID vaccines were developed so quickly and able to stem the tide of COVID worldwide. LNPs and the whole field of nanotechnology are revolutionizing how we deliver medicines to patients. Robert Langer, Institute Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is a pioneer and leading innovator in this field of nanomedicine and drug delivery. Not only has his research developed remarkable breakthroughs, his patents have been licensed or sub-licensed by over 400 companies. He has also cofounded many companies including Moderna.

Join us for Science Café to chat with Prof. Langer and discuss his early influences, his career path and what's next for the field of nanomedicine.
